In order to accommodate the needs of your spine patients, please review our referral triaging process.

Referral criteria for scoliosis

Please obtain posteroanterior view and lateral X-Rays of your patient's entire spine. This allows us to determine the severity of your patient's scoliosis. If your patient currently has or develops a curvature ≥ 10 degrees via X-Ray, send us a referral and we can schedule your patient.

Referral criteria back pain

If your patient's back pain is accompanied by a structural abnormality, we're happy to provide an appropriate appointment time. If patient presents with normal imaging, we recommend a full course of physical therapy with core strengthening, hamstring/hip abductor/quad stretching and home exercises. For ongoing back pain with a normal work up, consider a referral to a pain management physician.
